Vasco da Gama defender Dede has ruled out a move to Benfica as he eyes a stay in Brazil.
The 23-year-old has been strongly linked with a January move to the Portuguese side who are reportedly monitoring his progress.
However, Benfica seem set for disappointment as Dede has pledged his allegiance to Vasco.
My dream is to continue in Vasco and I hope that the president can offer something that will suit myself and the club, Dede told Globoesporte.
I am playing well here thanks to the rest of the team and now I just hope to continue working hard and improving all the time.
Dede has made over 100 appearances for Vasco since arriving from Volta Redonda in 2009, and was a key part of the side which lifted the 2011 Copa do Brasil.
He made his debut for the locally-based Brazil side in September in the Copa Roca clash against Argentina and boasts two senior caps.?
